The bottom of the bag resembles the leather sole of a ballet shoe. The dimensions in the listing are accurate, but if you have something particular to store in the bag, remember that it is shaped like a ballet shoe, which means that dimensions change the way those of a shoe do. For example, while the height is 2” at the back, the very front the bag is very shallow as it tapers down to meet the sole of the shoe. When unzipped, the bag’s opening is about 4.75”. This is a really nice bag, I love it. I thought about gifting it to a dancer friend of mine, but I can’t let go of it. I guess I have to order another one for her.
